🚀 Getting started on MyGameList

Create your account

Click Sign up in the top right. Choose a unique username, enter your email and a password (12 characters minimum). You will receive a confirmation email: click the link inside to activate your account.

Log in

Go to Login and enter your username or email + password. Check Remember me to stay logged in for 30 days.

Customise your profile

In Settings, add an avatar, enter your country and city, and link your Xbox Live / PSN IDs.

Start your collection

Search for your first games using the search bar at the top, open a game page and click ➕ Add to my collection. Each addition earns you XP!

Yes, completely free. Creating an account, cataloguing your collection, reviews, the social features, photo albums and rankings are all available at no cost. An optional Pro mode unlocks advanced tools for the most demanding collectors and supports the site, but it's never required to enjoy the essentials.
On the login page, click "Forgot password". You will receive an email with a link to set a new one. Check your spam folder if nothing arrives.
Yes! As a visitor you can browse the catalogue, view game pages, public profiles, rankings, photo albums and news. To add games to your collection, rate, write, post or send messages, an account is required.
Yes, everything was migrated! Your collection, reviews, photos, friends and history are intact. Log back in with your old credentials. If you have forgotten your password, use the email recovery link on the login page.

🛡️ The team & contributing

Here is the team running the site. For a question, a problem or content to report, write to a moderator — that is their role and they answer fastest. The Contact page offers them in one click, with those currently online listed first.

Moderators validate reviews and photos, handle error reports and game addition requests, and moderate content posted by the community.

Administrators additionally manage users, add games to the catalogue and manage consoles. Their coloured badge is visible on their profile and messages.
Two ways:
  • From the search bar: if no result is found, click "➕ Request game addition"
  • Via the Suggest a game link in the footer or on the results page
Enter the name and console. Your request is sent to the team who will add it as soon as possible.
If you spot incorrect information (wrong release date, wrong name, wrong cover…), use the “Report an error on this entry” link on the game page: you pick the field concerned and suggest the correct value. A moderator reviews it, and every approved report earns you XP. You can also contact a moderator directly via private message.

🎮 Managing your collection

Find a game

Use the search bar at the top of the page. It works from the first character and searches all names (French, English, Japanese). Press ↓ / ↑ to navigate, Enter to open.

Add to your collection

On the game page, click ➕ Add to my collection. Fill in: region (PAL/NTSC-U/NTSC-J), condition (new/used), box and manual presence, purchase price, shop, date. All optional.

View your Gamelist

Click My Gamelist in the menu. Your games are organised by console and sortable by column. The 🖼 Gametheque button shows all your covers in a dense grid.

Edit or remove

Open a game page you own. Your copies appear with ✏️ Edit and 🗑️ Remove buttons for each one.

Yes! The "Add a copy" button is always visible, even if you already own the game. Useful if you have the PAL and NTSC-J versions, or two different conditions. Each copy has its own details.
When adding or editing a game, you can set three statuses:
  • 🎁 Sealed — the game is still shrink-wrapped, never opened.
  • 🎮 Playing — you are currently playing it.
  • ✅ Finished — you have completed the game.
These statuses appear in your gamelist and on your public profile.
From My Gamelist, click the 📥 Export to Excel button. The file contains all your games with name, console, region, condition, with game/box/manual/extra/sealed, purchase price, shop, purchase date, playing, completed and your note. The file name includes the export date and time.

Exporting is reserved for Pro subscribers, and the export with an extra statistics sheet for Pro+ subscribers.
Go to the member's public profile (via search, the activity feed, the rankings, or the URL /profil/[username]). Their Gamelist tab shows their full sortable and filterable collection.

📋 The Gamelist

List view

Shows all your games in a detailed table organised by console, with price, shop, purchase date, rating, condition and completeness badges. Every column is sortable by clicking its header.

Wall view

Shows your covers in a visual grid — ideal for a quick overview of your collection. Click a cover to open the game page.

Gametheque view

A dense grid of all your covers, to simulate the effect of a collection shelf.

The search bar at the top of the Gamelist filters by game name in real time. The filter buttons let you show only Games, Consoles or Accessories. You can also Expand all or Collapse all the per-console blocks.
Click the 🔗 Share button in the toolbar. A window opens with the direct link to your public Gamelist, which you can copy and share anywhere. Anyone can view it, even without an account.

🎯 Wishlist

On a game page, click 🤍 Wishlist. The button turns to ♥ In wishlist. The game appears in the Wishlist tab of your profile. Click again to remove it.
The Wishlist lets you list games you want to acquire without having them yet. It is visible on your public profile — your friends can see what to gift you! The most wishlisted games in the community also appear in the Rankings.
Yes, your Wishlist is public and accessible on your profile by anyone, even without an account. Only your email address remains private.

🔍 Searching for games

The bar at the top shows results from the first character. It searches all names: French title, original, American and Japanese. Typing "Wind Waker" finds "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker" even if the main name is in Japanese. Press ↓ / ↑ to navigate, Enter to open, Esc to close.
Yes! By entering multiple terms separated by spaces, the engine finds games that contain all the words. For example, "Zelda Link" will find "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past". You don't need to type the exact title.
If the search returns no result, a link "➕ Request this game to be added" appears directly. You can also use the Suggest a game form in the footer or on the results page. Enter the name and console — the team will add it as soon as possible.
Click Consoles in the menu. You will see all platforms with the number of games and collectors. Click a console to see its paginated game list (50 per page, sorted alphabetically). Console badges on game pages are also clickable.

👤 Profile & settings

Public profile

Accessible via /profil/[your_username] or by clicking your username in the top right. Contains several tabs: Gamelist, Wishlist, Reviews, Top Lists and Friends.

Settings

Accessible via Settings. Several sections: Information (username, country, city, Xbox gamertag, PSN ID), Password, Avatar (image upload) and Preferences.

Go to Settings → Avatar. Click Choose a file, select your image (JPG, PNG, GIF) and confirm. The avatar is automatically resized. It appears on your profile, in the activity feed, comments, messages and everywhere on the site.
Yes, your profile and gamelist are public. Anyone (even without an account) can see your collection, wishlist and reviews. Only your email address and personal information remain completely private.

💎 Pro & tab visibility

In short:
🟣 Charts & Social (Pro+) → 100% private: only you (and the mods).
🟡 Full sets & Loans (Pro) → visible to subscribers and to the friends you have added.
🏠 On your own profile: the tabs stay visible, greyed out until you subscribe.
These are fully private Pro+ tabs:
  • Only you can view your own charts and social tab.
  • No one else can see them — not your friends, not even other Pro+ members.
  • Only moderators and administrators have access, for moderation.
Your personal stats stay with you.
These are shareable Pro tabs. For someone to see your Pro tabs, you must be a Pro subscriber (otherwise there's nothing to show), and that person must be one of the following:
  • 💎 They are a Pro or Pro+ subscriber → they see everyone's Pro tabs.
  • 🤝 You have added them as a friend → they see your Pro tabs, even without a subscription.
  • 👮 They are a moderator / admin.
No, and that's intentional. The direction of the friendship matters: it's the visited person who must have added you, not the other way around. Subscribing to or adding someone isn't enough to see their Pro content — otherwise a single Pro friend would mean never having to subscribe.
Premium tabs are always shown on your profile, even without a subscription — they appear greyed out (locked) to show you what you'd unlock:
  • Free → Pro and Pro+ tabs greyed out.
  • Pro → Pro tabs unlocked, Pro+ still greyed out.
  • Pro+ → everything unlocked. 🎉
Authorised people can view your loans, but only you can lend your own games. Viewing is open; the act of lending stays reserved to the owner.

👥 Community & friends

Go to the member's profile and click ➕ Add as friend. The addition is immediate: there is no request to accept, and the person gets a notification.

It is however not mutual: you add them to your friend list, and it is up to them to add you back. That direction matters for Pro tab visibility (see the 💎 Pro section). You can remove a friend from Settings → Friends or from their profile.
Having friends enriches the experience in several ways:
  • On a game page, you see directly which friends own that game
  • In your Friends tab (profile), you see their 50 latest additions in real time
  • In Settings → Friends, you see their last login
Several ways to discover members: via the Rankings (top collectors, top reviewers), via the activity feed on the home page, via reviews and photo albums, or via comments on game pages. Every username is a clickable link to their public profile.

✉️ Private messages

Two ways:
  • Via the ✉️ icon in the navbar → New message, then type the recipient's username (autocomplete available)
  • From a member's profile, click ✉️ Send a message
Click the ✉️ icon in the navbar. A red badge shows the number of unread messages. Your inbox lists all conversations with unread ones highlighted. Messages appear as bubbles (your messages in blue on the right, theirs on the left).
Yes, private messages are only visible to you and your recipient. Nobody else has access.

⭐ Ratings & reviews

On a game page, click ✍️ Write a review. You can give a score out of 20 and write a comment. Your review is submitted to a moderator for validation before appearing publicly. Once validated, it contributes to the game's average score.
Reviews go through manual validation to ensure content quality. The team validates as quickly as possible. Once validated, your review appears on the game page and contributes to the Top/Flop rankings.
Yes, go back to the game page. Your existing review shows an edit button. Both the score and text are editable. The edit will go through validation again.
The Top/Flop page in the menu shows the best and worst rated games by the community, along with the latest reviews. You can comment on other members' reviews there.
On a member's profile, the ⭐ Reviews tab lists all their validated reviews with the score, game and text excerpt.

📋 Top Lists

Top Lists are themed rankings created by the site — "My 10 all-time best games", "Top RPGs", "Top SNES"… As a member, you access these lists and fill them with your favourite games in the order of your choice. Your answers are visible on your public profile.
From your profile, 📋 Top Lists tab, click a list to open it and add games via search. Reorder them according to your preferences.
Yes, top lists filled by each member are public and visible on their profile. It's a great way to discover games recommended by your friends or by the top collectors in the rankings.

📸 Photo albums

Go to the Albums page and click 📷 Add a photo. You can add a description and link games from your collection to the photo. Photos are moderated before publication.
Photos go through manual validation to ensure appropriate content. The team validates as quickly as possible. Once validated, your photo appears in the gallery and on the homepage in the "Latest photos" section.
Yes, each photo has a comments section. You must be logged in to comment. Comments are visible to all and subject to the site's conduct rules.

🏆 XP, levels & badges

⚠️ Note: XP and badge calculation rules may change over time as we fine-tune the balance.
Every action on the site earns XP: adding a game to your collection, writing a review, publishing a photo, submitting a contribution or an error report, voting in a poll, logging in daily… XP accumulates and advances your level. Your current level is visible on your profile and displayed under your username everywhere on the site.
If you log in several consecutive days, you maintain a streak. The longer your streak, the higher your daily XP bonus. Warning: if you miss a day, your streak resets to zero! Your current streak is visible on your profile.
Badges unlock automatically when you reach certain objectives: number of games in your collection, number of reviews written, login streak, seniority on the site… A notification appears when you unlock a new badge. Your badges are visible on your public profile.
Each level threshold corresponds to a named rank displayed on hover of your level badge. Ranks progress from Novice up to the most prestigious titles reserved for the most dedicated members. Moderators and administrators have a distinctly coloured badge.

📊 Rankings

The Rankings page sorts members into three families, updated automatically:
  • Collection — Top Games, Top Consoles, Top Accessories and Top Spending (priciest collection, based on declared prices).
  • Social — Top Reviewers (validated reviews), Top Photos, Top Famous (most added as a friend), Top Badges and Top Popular (comments received).
  • The Site — Top News Commenters, Top Contributors and Top Loyalty (longest login streak).
A ranking by console page completes the set, console by console.
For Top Games, add games to your collection (and fill in a purchase price to appear in Top Spending). For Top Reviewers, write reviews — only validated ones count. Rankings update automatically, with nothing to do on your side.

📚 The catalogue

Each game page contains:
  • PAL / NTSC-U / NTSC-J covers (switchable)
  • Release dates by region, genre, publisher, developer
  • The recommended retail price and barcode
  • The average score and members' reviews
  • The number of collectors and the list of members who own it
  • Which friends have this game (if you are logged in)
  • Similar games on the same console
The three PAL / NTSC-U / NTSC-J buttons on a game page let you switch between the visuals of the different regional editions. The default cover is the PAL version if available, otherwise NTSC-U then NTSC-J. When adding a game to your collection, specify which version you own.
The Consoles page lists all referenced platforms with their number of games and collectors. Click a console to see all its games (50 per page, sorted alphabetically).
